Today’s free cross stitch pattern is an easy 13-color adaptation of a beautiful ukiyo-e work by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai Mount Fuji Seen Through Cherry Blossom. It has been on my to-do list for several months, and I’m really glad to finally post it here 🙂
It is the fourth Hokusai pattern that I have done by far, two of which are with Mount Fuji prints. The previous patterns are Lilies, Inume Pass, Kōshū, and Fine Wind, Clear Morning (Red Fuji).

Pattern size: 200w X 70h stitches, 13 colors (full cross stitches only)
This is the third pattern that is based on the works of the great Japanese ukiyo-e master Katsushika Hokusai. But today I chose not the Fuji mountain view, but rather a beautiful still life picture of yellow lilies.
The pattern is not too big, and uses a very limited amount of colos, as well as only full cross stitches (no back stitches), so you can try to work with it even if you are not too experienced. 🙂

Stitch count: 130 x 100 full cross stitches
Colors: 19 (18, if you decide to skip the blue background and work on a colord canves instead)
Today I post a little tribute to the art of great ukiyo-e master Katsushika Hokusai. Though the most recognizable of his prints is The Great Wave off Kanagawa, for this pattern I took another print of the same series (36 Views of Mount Fuji) named Inume Pass, Kōshū.
