Today’s free cross stitch pattern is an easy 13-color adaptation of a beautiful ukiyo-e work by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai Mount Fuji Seen Through Cherry Blossom. It has been on my to-do list for several months, and I’m really glad to finally post it here 🙂
It is the fourth Hokusai pattern that I have done by far, two of which are with Mount Fuji prints. The previous patterns are Lilies, Inume Pass, Kōshū, and Fine Wind, Clear Morning (Red Fuji).

A couple of weeks ago I posted a poll, asking all my readers about their favourite themes for cross stitching. Now I know that you like to cross stitch flowers :), therefore today’s freebie is flower. (And yes, I love flowers too!) It is a pattern that can be used for a bookmark or as a motif.
The flower is adapted from one of the 19th century folk artworks of John van Minian.
