Hey everyone! Guess who had had enough free evenings (four, to be exact) to finish a tiny project for Valentine’s day? That’s me! Since my little boy decided to go to bed really early, at 6 pm (and to wake at 5 am, but that is another story), I finally have some time to spend on stuff I like 🙂 Luckily that small design doesn’t need much.
The pattern can be found in my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/261506853/ . Be sure to use the coupon listed in shop’s description!
The colors are off, though, I could not find my stash because of moving from one flat to another, and just grabbed the available colors.
The stitching is mounted in a little wooden hoop.
What is your next big project after Christmas? Here is a small freebie to stitch for the next big day – the Valentine’s day!
Simple heart with a floral motif
This little design can also be used for hama/perler beads 🙂
The winter holidays are long since over, and February is getting closer. And we all know what that means… So maybe this little love potion is just what you need on Valentine’s day?

A simple temari with two pink and red hearts can be a great gift for your loved one. I for example presented my husband with this particular one today 🙂
The ball is marked into S4 division with an obi, and stitched mainly with swirls. Every heart consists of two swirls starting at it’s bottom point Continue reading “Valentine’s Day temari”
I’m still not over the coming Valentine’s day, so today’s free cross stitch pattern will again be on love, romance, and so forth. A cupid on this chart is holding somebody’s heart – maybe even mine 🙂 Or yours?
The pattern is relatively big, so I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners. If you started cross-stitching only recently, try my previous Valentine’s day pattern (The Heart flower), or choose any pattern tagged ‘beginners‘.
Stitch count: 145w x 80h stitches, 20 colors.

And yes, I enjoy your comments and suggestions 🙂
Valentine’s Day is only in three weeks, but you still have time to make a nice embroidery for your loved one.
Today’s pattern, Valentine’s Day flower, is a blooming plant with red hearts for flowers in a simple pot. The size of the finished embroidery (73 * 152 mm or 2.9 * 6 inches with Aida #14) makes it suitable for decorating a hand-made postcard.
