Welcome, traveler, to Quaternion Creations, where magic and creativity come together to bring you unique and whimsical cross stitch designs!
I am Maria, the designer behind QC, and I specialize in mythical and fairytale-ish cross stitch patterns that are inspired by the fantasy realms. My main themes are powerful goddesses and female figures from all over the world, folklore, and fairy tales; and the beauty of nature, with its quiet corners, intertwined branches, mossy blankets, and cute forest inhabitants. I am also are absolutely in love with dragons and other mythical and forgotten creatures!
Quaternion Creations is named after a mathematical concept of a Quaternion, which is an extension of a complex number (or a quotient of two vectors). It was one of the things that I found beautiful and aesthetic when getting my math education, so in a way it is a mix of my geekiness and my sense of beauty 🌱🌱🌱 And if you’re struggling to memorize the name, use Quarter Onions as a mnemonic rule!
