Ninkasi is the ancient Sumerian Goddess of beer and brewing, who is both the deity responsible for the beer quality and effects; but also the personalization of the beer itself. The Beer Goddess cross stitch pattern features Ninkasi in traditional Sumerian clothing, kaunakes, with a beer jug and a hops plant. The colors are inspired by the colors available to the region at the time.
